I had the pleasure of meeting Jac through my friend and wedding planner extraordinaire, Carly Rager. The day we met, Carly sat through three consultations with me as her brides came and went. Jac was a special delight with her pretty bright smile and beautiful doe eyes. She was just so happy to be planning her wedding and we discussed several ideas over the course of the hour. When she left, we had locked her date into my calendar.
Jac and Houston were planning a Country Chic Rustic sort of wedding complete with Hatch Show Print invites, burlap overlays and chair ties from Clarksville Linen Rentals, milk glass and mason jars holding simple pretty flower arrangements and hand sewn wedding programs. Every detail was so sweet, I couldn’t wait to be a part of the wedding!
Jac and Houston were having the reception at the Cumberland Room, a terrific moderately priced large venue just outside Clarksville. I’ve delivered cakes there several times and this time was better than ever. The large garage doors that are usually behind the cake table were draped by Total Package Events and had her shades of light purple and green uplighting behind the table and all around the room, thanks to Big Fish Entertainment. It looked fantastic!
The flowers reminded me of sweet wild flower bouquets like you would pick in a meadow for your mom. They were gorgeous and couldn’t be more perfect against the green linens. Sango Village Florist never fails to come through with the most perfect flowers for every budget.
As I mentioned, the linens were green so Jac wanted the cake, flowers, and some of the lighting to be the only purple accent color in the room. She wanted the cake to incorporate the paisley print used on the invitations by You’re Invited Invitations by Design. Carly sent me a large portion of the paisley print that I blew up to incorporate into the design of the four tier square cake.
Jac wanted to alternate delicious Spice Cake and Strawberry Cake tiers, all covered with Cheesecake Buttercream. Houston’s cake was French Vanilla and incorporated a Titans helmet logo on an airbrushed field. She had chosen a sweet pair of wooden birds as a cake topper for the bridal cake that could not have been more perfect for the pair.
My sweet friend Dani from Turning Point Productions filmed the festivities of the day and Joanie, my cake loving photographer friend from Joan of Art Photography was there to capture the moments as well. I thank them both for the wonderful shots I received and thanks to Carly for introducing me to Jac.
