I was blessed to meet Kim and Adam but in the most unfortunate of circumstances. Their original cake artist was unable to make their cake do to a health issue so they were scrambling about 6 weeks prior to their wedding to find someone new.
Kim and Adam already knew exactly what they wanted for a wedding cake, having found a photo online months in advance. It was to be a four tier round cake with a different design on each tier. The cake was to be ivory with white piping and fresh autumn flowers, which were spectacular by the way!
Adam wanted a cake that looked like a dam that he may have helped design at work. We had so much fun talking about the groom’s dam cake! Adam had several photos for inspiration and had drawn the cake out as it was pictured in his mind. He really helped his cake come to life.
Kim and Adam were married at the Hermitage Golf Course of Old Hickory in the Rose Garden. The weather could not have been more perfect for their 6pm wedding. It was a gorgeous day with sun, a slight breeze, and temperatures in the high 70s. It may have been the most perfect day of the year. They are so lucky!
Kim’s bridal cake was tiers of Strawberry cake with Chocolate ganache, French Vanilla tiers filled with Pina Colada and Raspberry fillings and Adam’s cake was Chocolate. All were covered with Cheesecake Buttercream. I have to say that I absolutely love fall weddings and this was one of my favorites yet. The flowers were gorgeous, the colors were beautiful and soft and Kim and Adam couldn’t have been happier.
Kim and Adam, may your love always shine as bright as the sunshine on your wedding day!
